PROGRAM AT A GLANCE
The Accelerated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Day Program at RICTC is designed for individuals seeking to begin a career in Emergency Medical Services through a fast-paced, intensive learning experience. This program delivers the same comprehensive EMT curriculum as our traditional course in a condensed daytime format, allowing students to complete their training in a shorter timeframe without compromising educational quality or hands-on experience.
Through focused classroom instruction, practical skills training, and realistic patient care scenarios, students develop essential competencies in patient assessment, airway management, CPR and resuscitation, trauma care, medical emergencies, and EMS operations. The accelerated format emphasizes active participation, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making to prepare students for the demadns of prehospital emergency care.
Upon successful completion, students are prepared to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) EMT certification examination, an important step toward obtaining EMT licensure and beginning a rewarding career in emergency medical services.
